On this website, you can watch educational videos and have an activity to do after the video. This can be used for extra help over a certain topic at home, or as a lesson for a teacher in a classroom. Below are some examples of free videos Brain POP has to offer. To visit that video, click the image.
The purpose of this site is to be able to better comprehend topics by viewing them in a fun video form. You can also try different activities once you finish the video. Some of these include worksheets, quizzes, and more articles on the specific topic. The things I really like about this site is the variety of topics. For example, you can watch a video over almost anything ranging from how to use a camera to the life of William Shakespeare. Below is a picture of the free videos, click the image to go to the link where the videos can be found!
One thing that I wish that were included in this site are more videos to watch for free. For example, you have to create an account to watch some videos. It would be nice if this site had a wider range of free videos to watch.
This site could be used at SWMS for any subject! This site would allow teacher to present the video to their class and have a worksheet and activity to go along with it. This would be especially helpful in extension classes because there usually aren't Kentucky standards in those topics, so teachers could use this site as an introductory tool to what their class will be mainly about. One extension specifically this site could be beneficial to is the geometry class where Mrs. Lemily could show her students the angles video for free!
